Tasting Notes

Our single vineyard Inc Grenache is crafted from the 90 year old bush vines at our home on the Ingoldby vineyard to produce this classic McLaren Vale Grenache of great structure and intensity. Blended from a selection of only the finest barrels from our McLaren Flat vineyard, the fruit is incredibly consistent with sound concentration. Open fermentation with extended skin contact, the darker fruit spectrum is synonymous with the vineyard site and is supported seamlessly by maturation in French oak (10% new only) for a 12 month period.

Old bush vine Grenache at its finest, the wine displays amazing fruit purity. A deep and opulent raspberry and spice nose leads seamlessly into a slightly darker back palate than one might expect. Beautifully balanced with tremendous length of flavour, this Grenache speaks of the provenance of the old vines at the Ingoldby Vineyard.
